"It is my pleasure to recommend Ms. Djoni as a child care provider. Her passion and dedication to the children are qualities that we experienced everyday. My daughter loved Ms. Djoni. She was very gentle, kind, soft spoken, polite and had a positive and patient attitude. She has impressive calmness with small children. An ability to manage multiple small children while keeping them focused on what they were doing, in a calm manner. She worked well with both children and their parents. As an experienced mother she is very knowledgable of the technicalities of being a child care provider. I would highly recommend her to be a part of your child's daycare experience. She was always a joy to be around and will be missed by all of us when she moves on from our daughter's school.

"In 2021, in the midst of a global pandemic, I was hesitant to send my two year old daughter to daycare for the first time. For the first two years of her life, she was cared for by close relatives while my husband and I worked full time, so this transition to daycare was already a big leap and something we didn’t take lightly - especially when there was still uncertainty with global health concerns. 

Ultimately, after careful deliberation, we decided to send our daughter to Leap & Bound Academy in Redondo Beach where she would be under the care and supervision of Ms. Djoni. Needless to say, while I was still anxious about our first day of drop off, I felt an immediate sense of comfort and ease once passing our daughter off to Ms. Djoni. She assured me that she would take good care of our little girl, and with deep gratitude I can attest that she has been doing so for the past three years. Even when our daughter graduated to join the 4 and 5-year old class, Ms. Djoni kept an eye on her (as she does with all little ones) to ensure her needs were met. At home, our daughter would talk about Ms. Djoni as if she were family - she knew she could go to Ms. Djoni if she needed anything; she was always excited to show us the arts and crafts her teacher helped her with each day; proud to share when she had a good nap; glowing about new books that were read or dances that were taught. 

Today, our daughter is thriving, healthy, excited about learning and nicely socially acclimated with her peers (something I had worried about having spent over a year social distancing),  and we attribute a lot of this growth to Ms. Djoni for thoughtful caring for each and every child in her class. Leap & Bound was lucky to have her, and I highly recommend parents consider Ms. Djoni as their child’s caretaker, teacher or babysitter. To no surprise, Ms. Djoni is also a mom herself and this can be reflected in the compassion and care she displays with all kids under her supervision. "

Ms. Djoni exceeded our expectations in every way as a teacher and care giver to our very active, free spirited toddler. When we enrolled our son in Ms. Djoni's class on his second birthday, we were hopeful that he would be provided with structure and learning opportunities, while still allowing him to express his emerging personality. As it was our first time introducing our son to a day care environment, we were also nervous about how he would manage through the initial separation anxiety.

Over the course of our son's first few weeks, we were immensely impressed by Ms. Djoni's nurturing style. During those initial morning drop offs where our son would start to get emotional, Ms. Djoni would warmly scoop him up, speak soothingly to him, and helped him to feel comfortable as we made the transition. She would always provide us with thorough, transparent updates at the end of the day when we picked up our son, so we knew exactly how he was adjusting.

It has now been about a year since our son has been in Ms. Djoni's class and we are sincerely impressed with his development. What we find truly unique about Ms. Djoni, is how she expresses her genuine enthusiasm for our son's development when we catch up with her during pick ups and drop offs. When we have stopped her to tell her about an exciting milestone that our son hit the night before (i.e., "He counted to ten!"), Ms. Djoni's face lights up and she chatters away with us about they've been working on that in class or how far he's come. As parents, it's amazing and comforting to find a teacher and care giver who is truly rooting for your child's success and growth, while welcoming your child's uniqueness, which is exactly what she does. Ms. Djoni always makes time to answer any questions that we have and offers insights in a thoughtful, helpful way that we appreciate as first time parents who need a little guidance at times.

We will always think fondly about Ms. Djoni, as she played such a critical role in our son's early life. Picking the right teacher, caregiver, and environment is instrumental in a child's overall development, which is why we highly recommend Ms. Djoni.
